Facilitating learners with disabilities has been a profoundly transformative experience that has shaped me into a more compassionate and patient individual. Over the past 7 years, I've had the privilege of working with an incredible team at Basadipele Skills Development and Training. What struck me most is the resilience, determination, and joy that learners with disabilities bring to the classroom. They've taught me that disability is not a limitation, but rather a natural part of human diversity. Witnessing the learners' growth and development has been an incredibly satisfying experience. Seeing them become confident, independent, and successful individuals is a testament to the power of inclusive education. Basadipele Skills Development and Training is more than just an institution it's a community that fosters empathy, understanding, and empowerment. I feel grateful to be a part of this team and look forward to continuing our mission of providing inclusive education and skills development opportunities for learners with disabilities.

The program helped me realize that I do have a talent with sewing. I was taught to take Measurements and pattern draft from scratch. I learned to use the machine for the first time both Domestic and Industrial matching. I learned to use an industrial Iron. I learned teamwork and appreciating help from other. With this program I was able to eventually buy myself my first machine after the machine. I began a big project of sewing Masks during covid and with the money I made I bought myself my first domestic machine. I was privileged enough to have people who believed in my talent and started to request I make garments for them and since then I opened my small business Togs & Tops, and I post my work on my business Instagram page. And with the more business I got I was able to buy two more machines, an industrial and an overlocker machine.

I am thrilled to share my transformative experience at BasadiPele Skills Development And Training, where I spent six incredible years growing both personally and professionally. As a student, I gained valuable knowledge in computer skills, which became the foundation of my future success. Later, as an administrator, I had the privilege of working with an exceptional team that nurtured my growth and helped me become a confident, independent young woman. One of my most significant achievements was finding an extended family that understood and supported my disability. This inclusive environment enabled me to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the organization's success. For the first time in my life, I gained working experience, which empowered me to provide for my daughter and family. I appreciate the supportive work environment and opportunities for growth that BasadiPele provided.
